Well you’re in luck! Torrid, a leading retailer in the trendy plus-size fashion world, is searching for new faces to represent their brand…….. and one of them could be you!

You need to hurry though. Entries are only being accepted through July 31, 2008.

1. 8 x 10 full length photo exhibiting the best modeling moxie you’ve got

2. A completed application available to download from the TORRID WEBSITE.

Season Three is almost here………..

 Paris has always been fabulous. It’s about to get Fabulous and Thick.

Mo’Nique and Oxygen are taking their hit show to a worldwide stage!  They’ll continue the Miss F.A.T. tradition by taking on the world capital of couture– Paris, France. It all begins with a nationwide search for 5 big beautiful contestants willing to take on the challenge of their lives. We’ll follow their journey as they transform into divas ultimately strutting their stuff in a high fashion Paris runway show.
At the end of the night, the judges and Mo’Nique will evaluate the contestants on their entire journey and the winner will be named Miss F.A.T. 2007!

Judges this season include ground-breaking plus-size model Velvet d’Amour whose ample curves have graced the Paris runways in haute couture fashion!

1. Color is a curvy girls best friend. Don’t hide in head to toe black. Instead add pops of bright color like a red purse or grass green shoes to add excitement to your outfits.  You’ll go from wallflower to cool, confident fashionista in a snap.
2. Petite plus women can add the illusion of more height by creating a monochromatic look.  This creates a longer visual line, adding height to the eye.
3. Structured styles like tailored jackets with nipped waists and flat waistband skirts and pants can help you create  an hourglass shape.  Choose fabrics with a hint of stretch in them for comfort and make friends with a tailor for the perfect fit.   You’ll be comfortable and oh so stylish with the proper fit.
